“The Ritual” is a cultural intervention designed to redefine the Sunday experience in Essex. It is a curated journey through Ethnic Soul, Roots, and Funk, bridging the gap between a mellow afternoon sanctuary and a high-energy live performance loft.
The Vibe: Boiler Room intimacy meets Later… with Jools Holland musicianship.
The Hook: A literal and spiritual Ascent—moving from the earth (Ground Floor) to the heavens (The Loft) at sunset.
2. THE SCHEDULE (EVERY SUNDAY)
12:00 PM – 18:00 PM | THE GROUNDING (Downstairs)
Focus: Rare-groove Reggae, Deep Blues, and African Roots.
Atmosphere: Low-lit, atmospheric, focused on community and deep listening.
18:00 PM – CLOSE | THE ASCENT (Upstairs / Dauntless Live)
Focus: High-tempo Funk, Soul, Afrobeat, and Acid Jazz.
Format: Live bands performing “in-the-round” (Boiler Room style) followed by high-energy DJ sets.
