THE RITUAL RETURNS — AND SUNROOMS² IS BACK FOR THE WEEK

The Ritual returns to Sunrooms² this Bank Holiday Monday — and this time it marks the beginning of something much bigger.
On Monday 31st August, The Ritual brings another free all-day celebration of music, culture, creativity and community to the iconic Sunrooms² garden.
Headlining the live music will be Wokerati Party, alongside a selection of special guest live acts, while the decks will be taken over by Dr Ve’Garn Voodoo, BubbleTee, DJ Lacerate and DJ Voorzta, delivering the sounds that The Ritual has become known for.
From 12 noon until 10:30pm, Sunrooms² will once again become a place to dance, listen, eat, meet people and celebrate the creative spirit of Southend.
🌱 THE RITUAL VEGAN BUFFET
As part of the day, The Ritual will also introduce another of its special VEGAN BUFFET.
The buffet is more than just food. It is a taste of what is coming next at Sunrooms², as the venue prepares to introduce daily plant-based buffet menus and new food experiences as part of its expanding weekday programme.
Visitors will get the opportunity to sample the kind of food that will soon become part of the regular Sunrooms² experience.
🎨 AND THEN THERE’S SUNROOMS²…
For many people, Sunrooms² has always been more than a venue.
Now it’s coming back to life during the week.
Sunrooms² is reopening as a culture hub for creatives — a place where music, film, food, performance, visual arts, workshops, conversation and community can exist under one roof.
The new programme will see Sunrooms² open Sunday through Friday, bringing daytime and afternoon/evening activities to the venue alongside its established weekend events.
The aim is simple:
Give Southend’s creatives somewhere to meet.
Give musicians somewhere to play.
Give filmmakers somewhere to create.
Give artists somewhere to exhibit.
Give communities somewhere to gather.
And give everyone somewhere to feel at home.
The weekday programme will grow to include plant-based food, creative activities, film, music, workshops, cultural events and much more.
